Don't Eat My Skittles!

(Hint: You've probably seen an incident like this in your own family. If you have, tell your own personal experience!) I was at a local football game when my little boy told me that he was ready for a snack. We went to the concession stand and he picked out a bag of Skittles. (Hold up a bag of Skittles to give a visual.) When we got back to our seats, he began to enjoy his treat. After awhile, I asked if I could have a few. He looked up at me with a terribly selfish look in his eyes and said, with great finality, "NO!" I proceeded to inform him that I bought the Skittles and that I had the author to either take them away or to give him 50 packs of Skittles. Once he understood that the Skittles were not really his, he gladly shared a few with me. Isn't it the same way with our relationship with God? All that we think we own is actually His. What audacity for us to look Him in the face and say no to the meager 10% that He may request of us. God has the authority to either take it all away (hide your bag behind the podium) or shower skittles all over you (throw them out all over the crowd!)
